TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Dayton, Ohio, 45409! Pay Information $2,889 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Step Down Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 1.5 years of experience in step down or progressive care unit required. Previous charge experience preferred. Travel experience preferred. License: Any state RN license is acceptable. Certifications: BLS ACLS NIHSS Must-Have: Experience with CABG and valve replacement patients. Experience with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:5 in step down or progressive care unit. Must have EPIC experience. Must pass an online EKG tele competency assessment before starting the assignment. Nurses must be fitted for N95 before working in a high-risk unit unless an alternative is provided. Description: Cardiac experience is required. Applicants must show experience with CABG and valve replacement patients. It is essential to have step down or progressive care unit experience; ICU experience does not count. Targeted patient ratios are between 1:4 and 1:6. All contracts are for 48 hours per week. Nurses must be available to work every other weekend and holiday. The facility reserves the right to cancel shifts due to low census. Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. Travelers will support the nursing care team and assigned unit, including high-risk areas. Submit requests for time off when applying; requests for time off will not be negotiated after the offer. No more than 14 days of time off are allowed, even if willing to add to the end of the contract. There are additional requirements regarding lab work and EKG testing completion, which must be met promptly. Nurses will manage pre and post-operative open heart patients, handling advanced care cardiac patients with continuous telemetry. Equipment and facilities are in place to support interdisciplinary care. All necessary non-discriminatory precautions will be followed to ensure a safe working environment. This position entails caring for patients undergoing various cardiac and vascular surgeries.
