Cardiac Stepdown RN Job Details Location: Vineland, NJ 08360 (South Jersey healthcare region) Setting: Cardiac Stepdown / Progressive Care Unit (PCU) Contract Length: 6 weeks (with strong potential for extension) Hours per Week: 36 (full-time nursing position) Shifts: Every other weekend required; holiday coverage (1 per contract) Charting System: Cerner EMR Scrub Color: Navy Hourly Pay Rate: $86.49 Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2,090–$2,200 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active RN license in New Jersey or compact state (required for New Jersey nursing jobs) Minimum 2 years of recent experience in Stepdown/PCU or cardiac nursing BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA only) Proven experience with cardiac, telemetry, and progressive care patients Willingness to float within specialty and to Elmer facility as needed Ability to complete all orientation requirements (virtual and in-person) Maximum of 3 days requested time off (RTO) during contract Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and PCU patients, including trach care, bariatrics, nocturnal vents, and stroke care Manage patient ratios of 1:5 for Stepdown/PCU and 1:6 if floated to acute care Care for patients with peritoneal dialysis (PD), stroke, and post-surgical needs Float to other units within specialty and to Elmer facility as needed Document patient care and assessments accurately in Cerner EMR Participate in all required orientation and ongoing clinical training sessions Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes Apply now to join our dedicated healthcare team and take the next step in your cardiac nursing career in Vineland, New Jersey!
