Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and certified Corporate Business English Instructor to serve as an Independent Hourly Contractor for our on-site corporate training programs in Mexico City. This is an hourly, non-employee contract position focused on delivering high-impact, practical Business English training to our employees and executive staff. The ideal candidate will have experience in a corporate environment and a proven ability to teach English with a focus on professional communication, business contexts, and cultural fluency. Key Responsibilities On-Site Corporate Instruction: Conduct engaging and practical Business English classes (individual or small group) at our company offices in Mexico City. Curriculum Customization: Design and deliver lessons focused on professional scenarios , including: Business meeting preparation and participation. Effective email and report writing. Presentation skills and public speaking. Negotiation and cross-cultural communication. Industry-specific vocabulary (e.g., technology, finance, marketing, operations). Executive Coaching: Provide tailored, advanced coaching to executives and senior staff to polish their high-level speaking and professional communication skills. Progress Tracking: Regularly assess student proficiency and provide clear, quantifiable feedback to both the students and the company liaison. Professional Administration: Maintain excellent communication and punctuality for all scheduled sessions. Track and submit detailed records of services provided. Issue a professional, timely invoice (factura) for all hours worked, fulfilling all requirements as an independent service provider. Required Qualifications Certification: A recognized and current EFL/ESL teaching certification (e.g., CELTA, TEFL, TESOL, CEFR ). Fluency: Native or native-level proficiency in English. Business Experience: Demonstrated experience teaching Business English and/or working with corporate clients or adult professionals. Professionalism: Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills suitable for a corporate environment. Contractor Status: Must be legally prepared to work as an independent contractor in Mexico City and capable of issuing formal invoices (facturas) for services rendered. Preferred Qualifications Advanced teaching certifications (e.g., DELTA, DipTESOL). A university degree in Business, Communications, or a related field. Professional working proficiency in Spanish. Compensation and Application Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, commensurate with experience and the specialized nature of corporate training. (Rate will be discussed during the interview process.) Contract Type: Independent Contractor (You are responsible for your own taxes, benefits, social security, and legal working status in Mexico.)
