American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care for a travel nursing job in Portland, Oregon. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care Discipline: RN Start Date: 11/03/2025 Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, nights Employment Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced Charge RN for a Level 3 or 4 NICU assignment requiring OR licensure, Epic experience, and delivery/resuscitation skills. Responsibilities Work in a Level 3 or 4 Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) within a short-term acute care hospital Provide charge responsibilities in the NICU with a 1:3 nurse-to-patient ratio Care for neonatal patients, including duties in delivery and resuscitation Uses Epic charting system, experience required Shifts are 3x12s, either day (7:00-19:00) or night (19:00-7:00), including rotating weekends Float required within the hospital and to affiliate hospitals as needed, with advance notice On-call standby required when not needed on the unit First-time travelers are welcome to apply Must commit to working 3 of 5 listed holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) Expect to float between sister facilities as needed; refusal to float may result in contract termination All hours logged as Charge RN will be paid at an enhanced rate If floated to certain locations, travel and lodging incentives apply Any color scrubs permitted except where hospital provides attire Orientation modules must be completed prior to start Returning employees must have a 3-month break between permanent and travel roles Requirements Active OR RN license, can be in hand or pending at submission Minimum of 1 year recent NICU RN experience Proven experience in a Level 3 or 4 NICU NICU charge RN and delivery/resuscitation experience required Epic EMR experience required Must have a vehicle for floating and onsite work Two supervisory references from the past 3 years required Compliance documents such as SSN, DOB, and relevant certifications required prior to start Must not have worked as permanent staff at this facility within the last 3 months Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to qualify as a traveler Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621156.
