is currently partnering with a well-established Safari Company in Botswana, to recruit a dynamic An established safari operator is seeking an experienced and proactive Camp General Manager to oversee the daily operations of one of their remote lodges. The role involves managing a team of four department heads and approximately 40 staff, ensuring service excellence, operational efficiency, and alignment with company standards. This is a live-in leadership role, suited to someone with solid operational and financial experience, strong people management skills, and a passion for conservation and guest experience. Degree or Diploma in Tourism or a Business-related field essential for visa purposes Minimum 5 years' experience in a senior lodge or camp management role (preferably remote-based) Proven ability to lead large, multicultural teams with a hands-on leadership style Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting, procurement, and reporting In-depth understanding of food & beverage operations and logistics in remote environments Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills Passionate about conservation and guest engagement Full operational oversight of the lodge, including accommodation, F&B, activities, and guest services Lead and support a team of departmental managers, ensuring effective delegation and performance monitoring Uphold and enhance service standards to deliver an exceptional guest experience Manage financial systems including budgets, cost controls, procurement, and reporting Drive staff training, development, and succession planning across departments Oversee all F&B operations and ensure high-quality delivery aligned with lodge standards Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety, labour regulations, and environmental protocols Act as the liaison between lodge operations and head office to ensure strategic alignment ➡️ : Although we appreciate all applications received, we will only reply to those candidates who apply via email and have the background and experience required.
