Cobol Specialist

As part of our continuous growth, we are looking for a COBOL Developer to join our talented team in São Paulo (Hybrid model) . What You’ll Do Perform analysis, design, and programming in COBOL for financial institutions and core banking systems. Develop, maintain, and optimize COBOL programs, ensuring performance, stability, and scalability. Work on CICS and DB2 environments, supporting transactional and batch processes. Participate in the integration of legacy systems with modern platforms and APIs. Design and execute unit and integration tests, ensuring quality and compliance with standards. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (Business, QA, DevOps, Architecture). Analyze incidents, troubleshoot issues, and propose innovative and efficient solutions. Contribute to continuous improvement and modernization initiatives within the organization. Document technical processes and maintain alignment with Agile best practices. Must-Have Qualifications Proven experience in COBOL development . Solid knowledge of CICS . Solid knowledge of DB2 . Experience in designing, executing, and validating unit and integration tests. Understanding of DevOps practices and tools . Experience with collaboration platforms such as Jira and Confluence . Familiarity with Agile methodologies , especially Scrum . Strong analytical skills and ability to create innovative solutions. Excellent organization, autonomy, and attention to detail. High level of collaboration within multidisciplinary teams. Nice-to-Have Experience with financial systems and core banking modernization . Knowledge of API integration between legacy and modern systems. Intermediate or advanced English and/or Spanish .
