Job Description
Civil Design Engineer Key Responsibilities Deliver design solutions for civil engineering projects in accordance with relevant standards and codes. Produce and review technical designs for drainage, utilities, pavements, and earthworks. Manage own workload efficiently and contribute to project planning and quality assurance. Collaborate effectively within multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives. Ensure compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work, and project BIM Execution Plans. Support continuous improvement and technical development within the team. Skills Minimum 5 years’ experience in civil engineering design, preferably within the building sector. Strong drainage design experience, including use of InfoDrainage or Flow software. Experience with roads and car park design. Proficient in Autodesk Civil 3D. Working knowledge of AutoCAD. Familiarity with Revit and BIM 360 desirable. Understanding of UK design standards and construction practices. Good verbal and written communication skills, including report writing. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within teams. Commitment to professional development and working towards ICE chartership. Software/Tools Autodesk Civil 3D AutoCAD InfoDrainage or Flow software Revit BIM 360 (desirable) Certifications & Standards Honours Degree in Civil Engineering, HND, or equivalent experience. Working towards Chartered Engineer status with the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Knowledge of UK design codes and standards relevant to civil engineering structures, drainage, and utilities. Awareness of BIM standards and Digital Plan of Work compliance. Ability to achieve Security Clearance (desirable). Driving licence (desirable).
