Job Description

This role is responsible for managing and overseeing all supply chain operations during assigned shifts - ensuring warehouse, transport, and inventory activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with company standards. Non-Negotiable Requirements: Matric Certificate Certificate or Diploma in Logistics, Warehousing, or Supply Chain Management (minimum NQF 5; NQF 6) Minimum 3 years experience in Logistics/Warehousing/Supply Chain operations Strong leadership and people management skills Working knowledge of SAP, ERP, and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) Willingness to work shifts South African Citizen Key Responsibilities: Shift Operations Management Oversee and manage all warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and returns Allocate manpower and equipment to meet operational targets Ensure compliance with SOPs and health and safety standards Verify and capture stock received on SAP Manage daily dispatch schedules, ensuring all trucks leave on time Conduct shift handovers and communicate key operational updates Maintain real-time inventory accuracy and minimize variances Conduct daily cycle counts and assist with monthly stock takes Investigate stock discrepancies and implement corrective measures Identify and escalate slow-moving or obsolete stock Drive efficiency, process improvement, and cost reduction initiatives Analyse performance data and identify opportunities for optimization Lead small improvement projects (Lean/5S) Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports Maintain accurate shift documentation, attendance, and KPI tracking Communicate effectively with management and other departments Supervise and motivate shift staff to achieve performance targets Manage timekeeping, leave, and payroll submissions Conduct training and ensure ongoing skills development Address performance or behavioural issues in line with company policy Enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations Maintain FIFO, LOS, and high housekeeping standards (5S) Report and resolve operational risks or incidents promptly Skills & Competencies: Strong organisational and analytical skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills Proficiency in MS Office Suite and SAP Ability to lead a team and perform under pressure Attention to detail and results-driven approach Strong customer service orientation Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): On-time dispatch and order fulfilment accuracy Inventory accuracy and reduced stock variances Productivity and efficiency per labour hour Compliance with safety and operational standards Timely submission of accurate reports To Apply: Only candidates meeting all non-negotiable requirements will be considered.
