Technical Officer

Our client, a leading table grape export company based in Paarl (Western Cape) , has an exciting opportunity available for a young, dynamic, and motivated Technical Officer who is eager to learn and grow within the fruit export industry. The main focus of the role will be to provide technical and vineyard support to producers, assisting with viticultural and quality-related activities from farm to export stage. The position will involve regular travel between the Western Cape and Northern Cape, engaging with clients and supporting the technical team in ensuring product excellence and compliance with export standards. The successful candidate will report to the Technical Manager and duties will include: *Assisting with technical and quality evaluations *Conducting farm visits to support producers with viticultural practices *Collecting and analysing data *Compiling technical reports and records *Assisting in audits and compliance processes *All other tasks related to the role. Essential minimum qualifications, skills, and experience: Relevant BSc with a focus on Viticulture; Previous experience in a similar technical or vineyard role will be advantageous; Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Excel; Excellent communication skills in Afrikaans and English; Willingness to travel between the Western Cape and Northern Cape; Valid drivers license and own reliable transport.
