Test Analyst (ETL Focus) Location: Sydney CBD Contract: 6-month initial contract with strong potential for extension About the Role: We are seeking a seasoned Test Analyst to lead and execute end-to-end System Integration Testing (SIT) for a complex enterprise platform. This is not a standard testing role; it requires a deep understanding of data movement, transformation, and validation. You will be a key player in ensuring data integrity as it flows from core data platforms into critical downstream systems. Your expertise in ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) and data-centric testing will be essential for success. You will be responsible for interpreting intricate business rules and mapping logic, designing comprehensive test cases, and ensuring data accuracy and compliance throughout the entire pipeline. Key Responsibilities: System Integration Testing (SIT): Lead and execute rigorous end-to-end SIT across multiple integrated systems. ETL & Data Validation: Scrutinise data flow, perform validation checks, and verify data accuracy as it moves between platforms. A strong focus on interpreting data transformation logic and business rules is critical. Documentation & Tools: Utilise Jira and Xray to create, manage, and execute test cases, capture evidence, and provide clear, concise test reports. Interface Analysis: Read, analyse, and validate Interface Control Documents (ICDs) to ensure test coverage aligns with technical specifications. Data Privacy: Contribute to data privacy and compliance by defining and applying rules for synthetic data design within testing environments. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements, triage defects, and ensure a high-quality outcome. Your Skills & Experience: Proven experience as a Test Analyst with a strong background in System Integration Testing (SIT) . Extensive hands-on experience in ETL and data validation testing . Expertise in Jira and Xray for test management and defect tracking. The ability to read and interpret technical documentation, specifically Interface Control Documents (ICDs) and data mapping rules. Experience with synthetic data and a solid understanding of data privacy principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
