Freelance IT Support Engineer (Immediate Start!)

Hi __candidate_firstName__, For a customer in Ghent, I am searching for a freelance IT Support Engineer who can start immediately and provide assistance for 3-6 months improving their Windows environment. You'll provide direct user and server support, assist in system upgrades, and help streamline their Active Directory environment. Responsibilities (Short-term) · Deployment of Windows 11 Pro on custom hardware - 25 PCs · Hardware replacements (GPU/Disk) - 50 PCs · Daily onsite support for the team Responsibilities (Longer-term) · Provide hands-on Windows user support across local and remote teams. · Maintain and troubleshoot Windows servers to ensure system stability and performance. · Plan and execute Windows 10 to Windows 11 upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. · Conduct Active Directory maintenance and cleanup, improving security and organizational efficiency. · Collaborate with IT colleagues to document configurations, policies, and best practices. Profile · Strong knowledge of Windows desktop and server operating systems. · Experience with Active Directory administration. · Understanding of network fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, permissions, and group policies). · Excellent troubleshooting and communication skills in English. · Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. · Familiarity with Azure AD or Office 365 administration. · Previous experience with Windows upgrade projects (Win10 → Win11). Additional Details SENIORITY: 3-5 years minimum START DATE: Immediate (1-2 weeks availability!)
