Your personal sphere of influence:As a University Assistant (Prae-Doc), you will join the team of Prof. Dr. Christoph Fuchs at the Institute of Marketing and International Business at the University of Vienna ( https://scholar.google.com/citations?user=T9UVrZAAAAAJ&hl=de&oi=ao ). You will work at the intersection of marketing, psychology, and economics, contributing to cutting-edge research at this interface. The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with internationally leading scholars in marketing, psychology, and related disciplines.Your ambition will be to publish your research in top-tier field journals (e.g., Journal of Consumer Research, Management Science) as well as in high-impact general-interest journals (e.g., Nature Human Behaviour, PNAS).In addition to pursuing your own independent research and developing your doctoral dissertation, your responsibilities will include:Independent and collaborative teaching of courses and examinationsSupervision of studentsSupport in research, organizational, and administrative activities within the instituteThe position is advertised for a total duration of four years. The initial employment term is 1.5 years and will be automatically extended to four years, unless a declaration of non-renewal is submitted by the employer within the first 12 months. There are also options for an additional one-year extension beyond the four-year period.Your future tasks:A successful candidate will engage in the following activities:Contribute to the teaching and research activities of the Marketing research group with a focus on Consumer Behavior and Consumer Psychology, Marketing and Technology.Independent teaching of courses in Marketing as defined by the collective agreement.Write a doctoral thesis, we expect the successful candidate to sign a doctoral thesis agreement within 12-18 month.Additional Tasks: supervision of students, involvement in the department administration.
