Job Description An opportunity has arisen within Neighbourhoods, Regeneration and Sustainability for a Crisis Response Worker to join our Trafficking Awareness Raising Alliance (TARA) service on a fixed-term basis. This role is based on funding received from the Scottish Government and is initially offered until 31 March 2026. The Scottish Government have confirmed they are presently minded to continue this funding for the financial year 1 April 2026 – 31 March 2027, though confirmation of this will not be finalised until the Justice department budget is confirmed towards the end of the current financial year. Position Details TARA provide a support service for trafficking survivors, to help identify and support women who may have been trafficked for the purpose of commercial sexual exploitation. It is our belief that trafficking is fuelled by the demand from the commercial sex industry and that commercial sexual exploitation is a form of violence against women that is harmful to women, families, and communities. The service works in partnership with other to provide comprehensive, individual assessments of need, including risk. The Crisis Response Worker will provide an on-call response to out of hours referrals to the TARA Service in order to support adult female victims of Trafficking for Commercial Sexual Exploitation recovered across Scotland, this will also include responding to law enforcement led operations. An SCQF Level 7 qualification in Health and Social Care (Adults), or extensive professional experience in the field, is an essential requirement for this role. As is holding a current UK driving licence. Additionally, due to a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 this post is restricted to women only. Contract Details Weekly Hours: 2 per week on-call rota Work Pattern: 5:30pm – 7:30pm each Wednesday for the Crisis Response Team meeting, plus a weekly standby provision undertaken as a one week in five on-call rota between the hours of 5pm – 9pm Monday – Friday, and all-day Saturday and Sunday. Annual Salary: £1,881.25 - £2,234.75, plus for each week of completed standby undertaken you will be entitled to claim the following payment(s): £114.64 for each full week of standby £17.77 disturbance payment (capped at 1 payment for each 2-hour period) Overtime at the hourly rate of the post where you are required to undertake duties in relation to a call received.
