This role is perfect for someone who loves technology, enjoys solving problems, and wants to turn their passion for IT into a rewarding career. The successful candidate will gain real hands-on experience working with the systems that keep the school running. These duties range from supporting staff and students with their tech, to helping maintain networks, devices, and software. This apprenticeship allows the individual to earn while they learn, gaining recognised qualifications while developing practical skills in a supportive environment. In this role, you'll work towards your Level 3 Information Communications Technician qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships. A Typical Day in the Job: Providing first line support to pupils and staff across the trust, Password resets, multi factor authentication and anti-virus config to ensure network security, user groups and password systems are maintained. Resolving tickets efficiently and escalate where necessary to senior team leaders. Communicate through email, phone and face to face. Use a wide range of troubleshooting tools due to various hardware including command prompts and task manager. Ensure maintenance of industry standard and educationally bespoke hardware and software. Support with operational delivery of the school's ICT facilities ensuring that there is an efficient and effective service to both students and staff. Complete configurations, upgrades and trouble shooting on servers and wireless and wired networks. Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the team at Baltic Apprenticeships. Desired Qualities, Skills and Knowledge Aspire to develop own professional skills and qualifications. Role model high levels of literacy and numeracy including modelling appropriate language. Use all forms of social media appropriately. Take responsibility for the reputational management of all sites across the Trust. Ability to develop effective professional relationships with learners, staff and Academy partners. Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Be a team player with the ability to work independently. Energy, enthusiasm, optimism and ambition. Grade 4 in GCSE Mathematics & Grade 5 in GCSE English Salary, Hours&Benefits: £19,832 per annum. 7:30am-3:30pm Monday to Friday (can be flexible). 23 days holiday and additional shutdown days over Christmas period. This apprenticeship programme will provide you with everything you need to launch and develop your career in IT support. Afterwards, we'll support you to take the next steps, including further training and progression onto a Level 4 qualification. You'll get hands-on experience in all areas of technical support, from configuring devices to supporting with software, optimising performance and setting up virtual environments.
