Senior Engineer Permanent Role £45,000 - £55,000 per annum plus benefits Leiston, Suffolk (ideally candidate will be within a daily commute from site) The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced Section or Senior Engineer to join our team delivering major infrastructure and road projects in the Leiston, Suffolk area. This is a permanent, full-time role offering long-term career development with a well-established civil engineering contractor. You'll be working on significant infrastructure schemes involving complex groundworks, earthworks, drainage, structures, surfacing and associated civil works. This role suits someone who enjoys being on-site, takes ownership of setting out duties, and thrives in a collaborative, delivery-focused environment. Responsibilities: Perform accurate setting out for roads, drainage, structures, and associated works Act as the technical lead for your section of works, ensuring compliance with design and quality standards Liaise with site teams, subcontractors, and the client to ensure smooth delivery of works Maintain site records, including diaries, progress reports, and quality checks Supervise junior engineers and contribute to their development Ensure health & safety procedures are followed at all times on site Assist with the preparation and review of method statements, risk assessments, and permits Requirements: HNC / HND / Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent) Strong experience in setting out and delivering road and infrastructure projects Valid CSCS card (essential) SMSTS or SSSTS (desirable) Experience supervising teams and managing small sections of work Comfortable working in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment What's on Offer: £45,000 - £55,000 salary (DOE) Permanent, full-time employment with stability Opportunity to work on prestigious infrastructure schemes Career development and support in a growing business Collaborative team culture Interested?
