Transport planner 4 on 4 off days and nights

Overview: We are currently seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join a leading freight forwarder based near Heathrow. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in a busy transport office, coordinating import and export deliveries and collections across the Heathrow area. Key Responsibilities: Plan and schedule daily transport routes for import/export operations Liaise closely with drivers and warehouse teams to ensure on-time collections and deliveries Manage time-critical and temperature-controlled shipments Monitor progress and resolve any transport or delivery issues Ensure all documentation and systems are updated accurately Work collaboratively with internal departments to maintain service excellence Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off rotation Alternating Days and Nights must be willing to work both Requirements: Minimum 2 years experience in transport planning or scheduling Strong understanding of the freight forwarding / logistics industry Good knowledge of Heathrow Airport operations Excellent communication and organisational skills Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines High attention to detail, especially with time-sensitive or temperature-controlled shipments Whats in it for you: Competitive salary and shift allowance Opportunity to work with a respected freight forwarder at Heathrow Long-term career progression and training opportunities If you have the experience and drive to excel in a fast-paced freight environment, wed love to hear from you!
