An opportunity for an ambitious and career driven procurement professional to join the Procurement Team at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. Main duties of the job The main components of the role are: Category strategy and planning; strategically analysing and managing allocated areas of procurement spend to leverage buying decisions Sourcing; buying goods and services to deliver business outcomes End-to-end tendering; including managing a lot of open tenders Contract and supplier management; managing the successful delivery of business outcomes (once sourced) Whilst the work will be corporate services and technology focused; you will also have the opportunity to work across other procurement category areas to support delivery of the work plan. The kind of experience are we looking for We are looking specifically for applications from experienced procurement professionals with corporate services or technology category expertise You’ll have significant procurement/commercial experience in some or all of the following areas: Knowledge of Strategic sourcing methodologies · Contract Law and dispute resolution · Finance and leasing knowledge · Procurement Law · Public Procurement Regulations You will have delivered a range of competitive exercises (open tender and framework mini competitions) from initial planning to contract award / implementation You’ll have a proven track record of working with and building relationships with stakeholders at all levels and the ability to bring them together to agree sourcing strategies and move projects forward The weekly hybrid working pattern is 2 days a week in the office (Tatchbury Mount on the outskirts of Southampton) and 3 days working from home. N.B. It is advisable that you have your own transport (the office is 5 minutes from the M27 Ower Interchange with no public transport links).
