Job Description
Overview Logistics Specialist- People with Disability (PWD) role at Amazon Web Services (AWS). AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running and support data centers with servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access to innovation. Responsibilities Monitor inventory levels to maintain stock for build and repair activities. Receive parts, maintain inventory, and issue parts to Data Center Technicians and Engineers. Load and unload shipments and transport parts between locations. Handle frequent lifting of materials and maintain precise records of all commodities entering and leaving the company. Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to optimize flow of parts through their lifecycle; track inventory location, movement, age, and turns. Work closely with Data Center Operations Technicians and Data Center Engineers to fulfill parts quickly and accurately. Coordinate with Procurement and Hardware Engineering to purchase parts and interface with vendors to process RMAs and receive replacements. Enter data accurately and resolve questions from peer organizations; maintain up-to-date metrics dashboards and generate reports for internal and external suppliers and management as required. Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations. Ensure proper documentation and records for all commodities moving in and out of the facility. Safety and Physical Requirements Understand all aspects of production and adhere to strict safety standards; maintain high levels of quality. Manual handling and lifting of equipment (weight limits as per regulations). Handle incoming shipments, unpack boxes, and verify contents. Work in environments with varying temperatures and noise levels. Qualifications Experience as a logistics professional supporting inventory cycle counts, shipments, maintenance and stock control functions. Fluency in English. EU driving license. Experience with logistics equipment (carts, pallet jacks) and basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (preferred). EEO and Privacy Amazon is an equal opportunities employer.
