SEN Teaching Assistant – PMLD School (Greenwich) Location: Greenwich, South East London Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term Pay Rate: £90 – £110 per day (depending on experience) About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a specialist PMLD (Profound and Multiple Learning Difficulties) school in Greenwich. This is a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people with complex learning and physical needs, helping them access education in a nurturing and inclusive environment. Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with PMLD. Assist with personal care, mobility, and physical support where required. Implement individual education and therapy plans under the guidance of class teachers and therapists. Support pupils with sensory activities and communication development. Help create a safe, positive, and engaging learning atmosphere. Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure each child receives tailored support.Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with PMLD, SLD, or complex SEN needs (essential). A patient, caring, and proactive approach to supporting learning. Ability to use communication aids (such as PECS or Makaton) is desirable.
