Composite Inspector Fixed-Term Contract (6 Months) Location: Northamptonshire Hours: Monday Friday, 08:30 17:30 Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum (pro-rata) Contract: 6-Month FTC The Opportunity Were supporting a leading Formula One organisation in their search for an experienced Composite Inspector to join the Quality team on a 6-month fixed-term contract. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a world-class motorsport environment, supporting the inspection and validation of high-performance composite components during an exciting and demanding build phase. The Role Carry out dimensional inspection and validation of composite components, tooling, jigs, patterns, and moulds. Use Romer Arms and PolyWorks for precise measurement and geometric validation of assemblies. Inspect composite components to ensure they meet drawing specifications, tolerances, and surface finish requirements. Interpret 2D/3D CAD models, drawings, and lay-up manuals to ensure part accuracy and quality. Produce detailed inspection reports, highlighting any non-conformance and supporting resolution activity. Work closely with manufacturing, laminating, and design teams to ensure parts meet the highest standards before release. Maintain inspection documentation and ensure traceability throughout all processes. The Ideal Candidate Proven experience in composite inspection within Formula One, motorsport, or aerospace composites. Hands-on experience using Romer Arms and PolyWorks for component inspection and measurement. Strong understanding of GD&T, tolerances, and composite lay-up drawings. Skilled in geometric validation of jigs, moulds, and composite parts. Excellent attention to detail and ability to work accurately under tight deadlines. Confident communicator with a proactive and flexible approach to work.
