Job Description
BIM Manager Leading Central London Main Contractor | Salary up to £80,000  Package My client is a prominent Central London Main Contractor with an exceptional portfolio of complex, high-quality projects, including luxury residential, commercial fit-outs, and new-build schemes. They are seeking an experienced and strategic BIM Manager to drive their digital construction delivery, focusing specifically on coordination and implementation. This is a senior role for an individual who can bridge the gap between design, construction, and supply chain, ensuring that BIM methodologies deliver measurable value and quality on-site. Key Responsibilities BIM Strategy and Implementation: Develop and enforce the project-specific BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and digital protocols across all packages, ensuring compliance with ISO 19650 standards. Model Coordination: Lead and manage the coordination process, facilitating clash detection meetings and working with subcontractors to resolve spatial and technical issues in the model. Digital Workflows: Establish and manage model review processes, data validation, and information exchange workflows (CDE) from design (Stage 4) through construction (Stage 5) to handover (Stage 6). Team Training & Support: Provide hands-on training and technical support to site teams, design managers, and subcontractors on BIM software, viewing tools (e.g., Navisworks, FieldView), and data standards. Information Management: Oversee the integrity and quality of M&E information within the federated model, ensuring data (COBie) is extracted correctly for handover. Software Proficiency: Act as the internal expert for key BIM-related software, advising on licenses, deployment, and best practices. Essential Requirements Experience: Proven experience (5 years) in a BIM Management, BIM Lead, or Digital Construction Manager role. Technical Skills: Expert user of Navisworks Manage (for coordination and clash detection) and strong knowledge of Revit and other relevant BIM authoring tools. Standards: Deep understanding of BIM principles, protocols, and standards, including UK BIM Framework (ISO 19650) . Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and leadership skills, with a track record of successfully managing and influencing subcontractors and design consultants. Qualifications: Degree or equivalent professional qualification in a relevant field (e.g., Construction Management, Engineering, or Architecture). Remuneration and Package Salary: Up to £80,000 per annum (depending on experience). Package: Comprehensive benefits package, including private healthcare, pension scheme, and performance-related bonus. Location: Central London-based, with travel to various London project sites.
