Civil Structural Engineer

Civil Structural Engineer Locations: Newcastle or Warrington (As per your Preference) Flexible & hybrid working available As a Responsible Engineer and Technical Authority , you’ll lead multidisciplinary project teams delivering major energy projects — from concept and detailed design through to construction. You’ll drive engineering excellence, safety, and innovation across our portfolio. What you’ll do: Lead civil and structural design strategies, standards, and best practices. Oversee complex engineering packages, ensuring delivery to cost, time, and quality. Provide governance, technical assurance, and safety case leadership. Mentor and develop engineering teams, driving innovation and continuous improvement. Engage directly with clients, regulators, and industry partners to shape technical strategy. What we’re looking for: Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering (MEng/BEng/BSc or equivalent). Chartered Engineer (or working toward it). Proven leadership in civil and structural design , ideally within the nuclear or highly regulated sector . Strong understanding of safety, regulation, and design assurance . Experience with FE modelling , BIM tools , and international standards (ACI, ASCE, AISC). Excellent communicator, collaborator, and mentor.
