Job Description

Job Title: Employment Lawyer About the Role Our client is seeking a talented and commercially minded Employment Lawyer to join a dynamic London office. The successful candidate will provide expert legal advice on all aspects of employment law, supporting a diverse client base that includes employers, senior executives, and HR professionals across multiple sectors. You will handle both contentious and non-contentious matters, advise on complex employment issues, and play a key role in driving client relationships and business development initiatives. Key Responsibilities Advise on the full range of employment law issues, including disciplinary and grievance matters, discrimination and redundancy. Draft and negotiate employment contracts, settlement agreements, consultancy agreements, and policy documentation. Represent clients in Employment Tribunal and High Court proceedings. Advise on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, including due diligence and post-acquisition integration. Provide pragmatic, commercially focused legal advice to clients in both the private and public sectors. Support business development through networking, client training, and participation in marketing initiatives. Keep abreast of developments in employment law and contribute to internal know-how and training sessions. Requirements Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 3–6 years’ PQE in employment law. Strong experience advising on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters. Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to manage a varied workload and build strong client relationships. Commercial awareness and a proactive, solution-oriented approach. Experience working in a leading law firm or in-house legal team is desirable.
