Transport Lead

Are you an experienced Transport professional ready to make your next career move? Vickerstock are working in partnership with a leading logistics and distribution business who are seeking a hands-on Transport Supervisor to support the smooth running of daily operations and ensure a best-in-class service for their customers. As the Transport Supervisor , you will support the Warehouse Manager in day-to-day actively participate in all aspects of warehouse operations from manual handling, order picking, unloading deliveries, truck loading, to printing customer invoices. Other duties will include: Plan, manage, and allocate daily workloads to ensure operational efficiency and on-time delivery. Manage a team of nine drivers and 3PLs for deliveries to and out of site. Monitor goods-in and goods-out processes through the TMS, ensuring accuracy, organisation, and high service standards. Oversee picking and checking activities to ensure all branch and customer orders are fulfilled correctly and on time. Contribute to the training, development, and engagement of warehouse and transport staff. Collaborate closely with the wider site management team to achieve operational goals. Champion and enforce company Health & Safety protocols to maintain a safe and compliant working environment What We're Looking For: Previous experience in a supervisory or team leader role within transport, logistics, or warehouse operations. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
