Experience with charting in any system. Preferred trauma level II experience. Description: The GI/Endo Tech position is responsible for assisting in various endoscopic procedures. You will be required to perform patient preparations and support the medical staff during procedures. Call is required for 3 shifts per week and 2 weekends per month. You will work with a patient ratio of 1:1. Charting experience is necessary, preferably in Epic. Experience in outpatient endoscopy centers is beneficial. Skills should include knowledge of dilators, electrosurgical units, endoscopes, forceps, and polyp snares. You will handle procedure setups for procedures such as colonoscopy, EGD, and ERCP. High-level disinfection and instrument processing knowledge are required. You should be familiar with infection control and sterilization protocols. This position supports a patient demographic that includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics. The daily census is approximately 12 patients, with a total of 3 rooms used for procedures. Interdisciplinary support includes various services like IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy. Ability to work flexible schedules and adapt to changing demands is essential. Candidates must meet compliance regarding travel radius for this position.
