Travel Cath Lab Tech - $3,004 per week in Rockville, MD

Job Title: Cath Lab Tech Profession: Radiology / Cardiology Specialty: Cath Lab Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Cath Lab and IR License: Required state license Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ARRT Must-Have: Strong cath lab experience Neuro intervention experience is preferred. Description: CATH LAB/IR TECH shifts available. Auto offer with the ability for a manager interview if necessary. A strict no-tobacco policy is in place, and testing for nicotine and cotinine is mandatory. Do not submit candidates who use any form of nicotine. They will be automatically canceled if they fail the drug screen. The position requires a patient ratio of 8-12. Weekend call is required, with one full weekend per month. The traveler must respond within 30 minutes of activation for STEMI call. Two hours call back is guaranteed. On-call requirement includes 15 shifts per month. The facility is an acute care hospital, Level II trauma. Total staffed beds are 360. Scrub color is provided. The charting system used is Cerner and McKesson. Daily patient care involves adults and geriatrics. Interdisciplinary support is available. Patient diagnoses include adolescents. Special procedures in this role include elective caths, both diagnostic and interventions, RHC, STEMI, IABP, and pacemakers. Candidates must maintain a sterile field during procedures. Strong experience in angioplasty, cardiac stent placement, insertion/programming of AICDs, and pacemaker insertion is required. Candidates may float within the facility or to a nearby affiliate hospital. Strict adherence to facility policies is expected.
