Job Title: Echo Technologist Profession: Diagnostic Imaging Specialty: Echo Technologist Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Monday - Friday Hours per Shift: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, with weekend call required, 1 on 4 off, Saturday and Sunday from 8:00 am Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Registered Cardiac Sonographer preferred Certifications: ARDMS or CCI required within 1 year of employment Must-Have: Proficiency in all imaging modalities of Adult Echocardiography, including Transthoracic Echo, Stress Echo, and Transesophageal Echo (TEE) Description: We are seeking a full-time Echo Sonographer to assist our Cardiology team. The Echocardiographer works with the practice team to deliver direct and indirect patient care in the hospital/office setting. This role involves preparing patients and diagnostic equipment for imaging procedures. You will explain procedures to patients and answer any questions they may have. Obtaining high quality imaging is a key responsibility. Assist physicians in interpreting the data from the images. Ensure that records are kept properly. Provide care according to established protocols and procedures. Demonstrate clinical competence in all modalities within echocardiography. Provide patient and caregiver education while advocating for the delivery and coordination of patient care. Deliver age-specific, individualized care that protects patients from harm. Maintain knowledge and competency in echocardiography as required by credentialing organizations. Provide exceptional customer service and promote a professional work environment. Demonstrate competence in duties related to equipment and technology system performance, patient monitoring, and supply procurement. Organize exam rooms and assist with cleaning and office upkeep. Monitor quality, keep records, and manage inventory of equipment and supplies. Organize and multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting. Collaborate with other healthcare providers and clinical staff regarding practice and patient needs. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to the changing healthcare environment. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
