Senior Buyer 12 Month Contract Glascoed Based (Hybrid, 2-3 days per week on site) £47.12 an hour Umbrella Inside IR35 This is a great opportunity to work within one of the UKs leading Defence companies based in Glascoed. Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications To be considered for this role you will be a buyer/senior buyer with a track record of developing, implementing & managing procurement strategies, ideally relating to Plant & Equipment projects. Skills Required: Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills - Priority & essential to success in the role Contract skills including contract negotiation Supplier Management Experience Required: Experience working in a similar position or a related degree Experience within construction and/or plant & equipment categories Strong negotiation and communication skills Good understanding of manufacturing & engineering processes Ability to work under pressure, whilst ensuring deadlines are met Experience with Word and Excel software Comfortable in a fast paced commercial environment We also look for additional attributes, such as: Personable Demeanour, Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills, Data Analysis, Excellent Organisational Skills, Good Business Instincts, Mathematics Skills, Understanding of Supply Chain Management Procedures, Strategic Planning Abilities, Accreditation by the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply (CIPS).
