Senior Quantity Surveyor – Ayrshire / UK-Wide Travel – Long-Term Contract or Permanent Peace Recruitment are working with a respected civil engineering contractor who are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to strengthen their commercial team. The company delivers a range of technically demanding civil engineering projects across the power, utilities, and renewables sectors throughout the UK. The Role Full commercial responsibility for civil engineering projects including groundworks, drainage, ducting, concrete, and utilities works Managing subcontract procurement, payments, and valuations Preparing cost reports, forecasting, and change management documentation Supporting project teams in risk assessment and mitigation Working closely with the client’s commercial and operational teams to ensure projects are delivered profitably and compliantly Travel across the UK to support live sites and client meetings The Person Experienced Quantity Surveyor (ideally at Senior level) with a background in civil engineering, utilities, or infrastructure Excellent understanding of NEC contracts and commercial management principles Proven experience in subcontract management, cost reporting, and final accounts Strong Excel and financial reporting skills Based in Ayrshire or surrounding areas with flexibility to travel UK-wide What’s on Offer Long-term contract or permanent opportunity depending on preference Competitive day rate or salary package Consistent UK-wide project pipeline Opportunity to join a progressive civil engineering contractor with a strong commercial culture If you’re a commercially sharp Senior QS looking for a stable role with variety, responsibility, and long-term prospects — this is one you’ll want to explore.
