Site Manager – High-Rise Residential Development | Canary Wharf Location: Canary Wharf, London Sector: Residential Development – High-Rise Position Type: Freelance Salary: £300 a day (CIS) About the Role We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join a leading residential developer on a prestigious high-rise new build project in the heart of Canary Wharf. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the delivery of a high-spec residential tower, overseeing the internal fit-out and driving apartments through to completion. As Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing a number of high-quality apartments through 1st and/or 2nd fix stages, ensuring they are delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest standards of finish. You’ll report to the Project Manager and work closely with subcontractors, internal teams, and other site personnel to push units through to handover. Key Responsibilities * Manage day-to-day site activities across your designated floors/units * Drive the programme through 1st and 2nd fix to final handover * Coordinate trades and subcontractors to ensure timely progress * Ensure works are completed to high quality standards and in line with design specifications * Monitor health & safety compliance on site * Liaise with the commercial and technical teams to resolve any issues * Carry out quality inspections and snagging ahead of handover * Support and enforce site protocols, logistics, and access procedures Requirements * Proven experience as a Site Manager on new build residential developments, preferably high-rise * Strong track record overseeing internal fit-out to completion * Ability to drive programme and manage multiple trades effectively * Excellent knowledge of construction processes and building regs * CSCS, SMSTS, and First Aid qualified * Strong organisational and communication skills * Ability to work well under pressure and manage tight deadlines
