Quantity Surveyor

My client is a well-established, Suffolk-based specialist in bespoke joinery and high-end interior fit-out solutions, operating across a variety of sectors including commercial offices, luxury residential, education, and healthcare. Renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship and attention to detail, they offer a full design-to-installation service for prestigious projects throughout London and the South East. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are now seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Role Overview: The successful candidate will take ownership of the commercial management of bespoke joinery and interior fit-out packages, ensuring cost control, financial reporting, and profitability across a diverse and high-spec project portfolio. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare detailed cost plans s for joinery and fit-out packages * Manage all financial aspects of multiple projects from pre-construction to final account * Procure sub-contractors and suppliers, prepare tender documentation, and negotiate agreements * Monitor project variations and submit valuations and applications for payment * Produce regular cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections * Liaise with in-house design, production, and installation teams to ensure commercial alignment * Represent the company in client and site meetings, providing commercial support and insight * Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations, including JCT and bespoke contracts * Identify value engineering opportunities and assist in improving commercial processes Requirements: * Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent (HNC/HND considered with relevant experience) * Minimum 2 years’ experience within the fit-out, joinery, or interiors sector * Proven track record managing bespoke joinery and/or high-end interior packages * Strong understanding of JCT contracts and procurement best practices * Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and reporting skills * Proficient in Microsoft Office -Excel /Word * Full UK driving licence What My Client Offers: * Competitive salary and package * Opportunity to work on prestigious and high-spec projects * Supportive working environment with career development prospects * A respected and secure business with strong values and craftsmanship at its core
