Sheet Metal Worker / Mechanical Fitter – Contract Opportunity (Aerospace) Oxfordshire | Competitive Hourly Rate | Long-Term Contract We’re supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer with ongoing projects in the rotary sector and are seeking skilled Sheet Metal Workers and Mechanical Fitters to join their team on a contract basis. The Role: You’ll be responsible for the assembly, modification, and repair of aircraft components and structures within a precision engineering environment. Responsibilities include: Fabrication, fitting, and assembly of aircraft parts and structures. Interpreting detailed engineering drawings and technical schematics. Working to tight tolerances and maintaining the highest quality standards. Using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring equipment. Collaborating with engineering and quality teams to ensure accuracy and compliance. What You’ll Need: Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Worker or Mechanical Fitter within the aerospace or defence sector. Strong understanding of aircraft structures, assemblies, and repair techniques. Ability to read and work from engineering drawings. Experience in production or MRO environments highly desirable.
