Quantity Surveyor / Senior Surveyor - Stone & Ceramics

Overview QS/Estimator * Up to 65K depending on experience * Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm Based in Tower Bridge * Estimating/QS responsibilities day to day including pricing tenders, applications, Purchase Orders and contract negotiations, Final Accounting etc * Immediate Start preferred * Expenses Paid We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing project costs, ensuring financial efficiency throughout the lifecycle of construction projects. This position requires a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills to provide accurate cost estimates and maintain effective cost control measures. Responsibilities * Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including materials, labour, and overheads. * Monitor project budgets and expenditures to ensure adherence to financial plans. * Conduct regular site visits to assess progress and identify any potential cost implications. * Collaborate with project managers, architects, and contractors to provide financial insights and advice. * Prepare tender documents and evaluate bids from contractors to ensure value for money. * Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects. * Implement cost control measures and report on variances against budget. * Assist in the preparation of final accounts and settlement of disputes. Qualifications * A degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field is essential. * Proven experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry is preferred. * Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices. * Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail. * Proficient in using quantity surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. * Membership or working towards membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS) is advantageous but not mandatory.
