Quantity Surveyor – North London Location: North London Salary: £55,000 – £70,000 package (DOE) Type: Permanent | Full-time About the Role We’re working with a well-established main contractor delivering high-quality residential and mixed-use schemes across London and the Home Counties. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team on a flagship development in North London. As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll manage all commercial aspects of your project from procurement to final account, ensuring value for money and contractual compliance throughout. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated QS looking to step into a key project role within a supportive and forward-thinking business. Key Responsibilities * Manage all commercial and contractual aspects of allocated projects. * Prepare and maintain cost plans, valuations, and cash flow forecasts. * Oversee subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance. * Support cost control, risk management, and value engineering. * Assist with variations, change control, and final account negotiations. * Work closely with project managers and site teams to ensure efficient delivery. * Provide commercial insight and advice to support project decision-making. Requirements * Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent qualification. * 4–6 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role. * Proven background with a main contractor or developer on residential or mixed-use schemes. * Sound understanding of JCT contracts and cost management principles. * Strong numerical, communication, and organisational skills. * Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
