Senior Design Manager Location: Bristol / Corsham (Site Based) Salary: £80,000 – £90,000 Benefits Contract: Permanent The Opportunity A leading UK construction and engineering contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to take ownership of design delivery across high-value, complex projects in the defence and nuclear sectors. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven design leader with a strong technical background to join a dynamic, growing business working on secure, large-scale developments across the South West. Key Responsibilities: * Manage the design delivery process from pre-construction through to handover. * Ensure designs meet employer’s requirements, cost plans, and buildability standards. * Lead coordination between design, procurement, and construction teams. * Oversee RIBA and BSRIA stage approvals and design interface management. * Manage design risk, change control, and value engineering initiatives. About You * Minimum 10 years’ experience in the construction industry. * Proven track record managing complex projects within MOD or nuclear environments. * Strong technical background and familiarity with Building Regulations and CDM compliance. * Excellent leadership, coordination, and stakeholder management skills. * Relevant industry qualification (e.g., RIBA, ICE, CIOB). * CSCS card required; SMSTS and RAMS essential.
