Senior Quantity Surveyor – High-Value Project (Zone 1, London) Location: Zone 1, Central London Salary: £75,000 – £95,000 package (DOE) Type: Permanent | Full-time About the Role We’re seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a prestigious project team delivering a high-value commercial development in the heart of London (Zone 1). This is a flagship scheme for a leading main contractor known for excellence in complex, large-scale builds across the capital. You’ll be responsible for the full commercial management of your project packages, from procurement through to final accounts, working closely with the Commercial Manager to ensure cost control, value maximisation, and smooth project delivery. Key Responsibilities * Lead commercial and contractual management of high-value construction packages. * Oversee cost planning, forecasting, and financial reporting. * Manage subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance. * Prepare and negotiate variations, claims, and final accounts. * Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and company policies. * Collaborate with project, design, and site teams to ensure financial efficiency. * Mentor junior members of the commercial team and contribute to their development. Requirements * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or related discipline. * Minimum 6–8 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role. * Proven experience delivering Tier 1 or high-value (£50m) commercial or mixed-use projects. * Strong knowledge of JCT and/or NEC contracts. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills. * Proactive, commercially astute, and able to work autonomously.
