Field Service Technician

The Role We are seeking an experienced Service Technician to join the field engineering team, supporting customers across the Edinburgh to Glasgow region. Key responsibilities include: * Electrical and mechanical fault finding (predominantly electrical). * Delivering high levels of customer service in line with company standards. * Clear and professional communication with clients. * Accurate reporting and completion of documentation/call trackers in a timely manner. * Working independently while maintaining regular communication with the team. * Assisting colleagues when required. * Ensuring PPE is properly maintained and used in accordance with health and safety requirements. * Adhering to quality and H&S standards at all times. Requirements * Recognised electrical/electronic qualifications (NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC or equivalent). * Strong industrial background (manufacturing, engineering, production environments). * Experience with 3-phase motors, 415v systems, and CPU testing. * Basic mechanical knowledge desirable (e.g. bearings, drives, sprockets – training provided). Package & Benefits * Salary: £36,000-£40,000 starting (with progression opportunities of up to 10%) * OTE: £50,000 * Company van (Mercedes – private use allowed), mobile phone, laptop, tools, PPE & uniform provided * Overtime paid door-to-door (time and a half) * Annual bonus scheme (c.10%, company performance-based) * Pension scheme & holiday allowance (details confirmed at offer stage) * Normal working hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 * Participation in a call-out rota shared across the UK team
