Senior Design Engineer – Signalling Manchester – Hybrid £550- £650 per day 12 months contract Are you an experienced Signalling Design Engineer ready to take the next step in your career? We’re seeking a talented Senior Design Engineer to lead the delivery of complex and high-profile rail signalling and control system projects across the UK. As a Senior Design Engineer, you’ll take a lead role in directing signalling design activities from concept through to delivery. You’ll oversee project design teams to ensure all work meets technical, safety, and quality standards — delivered on time and within budget. Essential Qualifications & Experience: * Degree or HND/HNC in Engineering (or equivalent). * Member of IRSE, IET, or another recognised professional body. * Minimum of 10 years’ experience in signalling systems design and implementation. * In-depth understanding of signalling design standards, principles, and operational requirements. * Strong commercial awareness with good knowledge of project contracts and budgets. * Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills. * Personal Track Safety (PTS) certification. * Working towards or holder of IRSE Design Manager Licence, Signalling Principles Designer (A, B, D, or E), and Signalling Design Verifier qualifications.
