Job Description
KS1 Class Teacher Full Time and Fixed Term Contract Start Date: 5 January 2026 Salary: MPS / UPS (Scale £37,870 – £56,154) About Us We are a large, four‑form‑entry school serving a richly diverse community. POSITIONS: We have two full‑time class teacher positions to fill: EYFS (Reception / Early Years Foundation Stage) KS1 / KS2 (Years 1–6) You will: Plan, deliver and assess high-quality lessons aligned with the National Curriculum Develop exciting, inclusive and engaging learning experiences for all pupils Monitor, record and report pupil progress Maintain a stimulating and positive classroom environment Promote the school’s values (Respect, Resilience, Positivity, Friendship, Kindness, Honesty) in all interactions Be part of a collaborative year team (often 4 teachers) and contribute to the wider life of the school The successful candidate will: Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent Have experience teaching the primary curriculum (EYFS, KS1 or KS2) Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and confidence in planning, differentiation, assessment and behaviour management Be able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, parents and the community Be enthusiastic, creative, reflective and committed to continuous professional development What We Offer A supportive and experienced leadership team Strong culture of professional learning and development Tes Access to coaching, mentoring and continuous improvement support A caring workplace that values wellbeing and work‑life balance Opportunity to work in a dynamic, diverse and ambitious school community Interviews & Start Date The Headteacher is keen to interview and appoint as soon as possible.
