Project Manager – 22 Kingsway, London WC2B – Student Accommodation Scheme Tier 2 Main Contractor | £Multi-Million Refurbishment & Extension | Permanent A well-established Tier 2 Main Contractor is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team and lead the delivery of a high-profile student accommodation development at 22 Kingsway, London WC2B 6LE. This exciting city-centre scheme involves the removal of the existing roof slab, replacement of the 8th-floor structure, and a two-storey upward extension to create a modern 360-bed student accommodation development (35% affordable). The project also includes two ground-floor retail units and a range of sustainability features, such as solar panels, SuDS systems, green and blue roofs, and a landscaped rooftop terrace. Key Responsibilities * Lead the project from pre-construction through to completion. * Manage the site and delivery team, ensuring quality, programme, and safety standards are achieved. * Coordinate all subcontractor and design team activities. * Oversee structural alterations, refurbishment, and new-build elements. * Maintain strong communication with the client, consultants, and stakeholders. * Report progress and key project metrics to senior management. About You * Proven experience managing complex city-centre refurbishment or mixed-use schemes, ideally with structural alterations or extensions. * Strong background in main contracting, with experience in student accommodation or residential projects. * Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills. * Technically astute, with the ability to coordinate challenging structural and architectural works.
