Migration Consultant

Migration Lead 3 Month Contract Extensions 65-71/hr Day to day Insight Global is looking for a Migration Lead to join an athleisure retail company in Canada for a contract opportunity. This individual will have experience and a deep understanding with apparel or retail product data with the ability to “roll up their sleeves” and get in the work. This person will be joining a team of four (4) and assisting with building a net-new proprietary solution for organizing product data. The Migration Lead will assist the technical team in building a new solution by defining the data hierarchy to categorize products . Next, you will assist to migrate the backlog of existing data against the rules starting from the beginning of the value chain (ex. Product Lifecycle Management) and then progressing to the rest of the ecosystem, working through 6 years of stored data. Along the way, you will continue to refine requirements if necessary. Once this is complete, the reverse order will need to be established to back map the new hierarchy to the previous state so product can be catalogued and compared comprehensively. Future state of this project looks like integrating Machine Learning principles for less human touch n and auto-generation of data mapping and categorization. Must-haves 5-10 years experience in a similar role with the drive to be a hands-on contributor Experience working with and deep understanding of product data for a consumer packaged good (CPG) product such as apparel, footwear, accessories, or other Understanding and experience with data tools such as writing SQL and proficiency in Excel to pull and comb through data
