Job Description
Our Confidential Non-Profit Client is looking for a Microsoft Business Central Expert to assist on an ongoing project they have underway. Contract Details: Client: Non-Profit Organization based in British Columbia (BC), Canada Role: Microsoft Business Central SME (Senior Consultant) Duration: 4–8 weeks Location: Remote; must be able to work at least one day per week aligned to Pacific Time (PST) Language: English Rate: Open; we are happy to discuss and agree on a mutually suitable rate Engagement Overview The contractor will participate (not lead) in current-state assessment workshops facilitated by KPMG. After gaps and requirements are identified during these workshops, the contractor will: Assess gaps against standard Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC) capabilities and configuration options. Identify suitable Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and extensions that align with the non-profit context. Recommend Power Platform solutions (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) for gaps not addressed by native functionality or ISVs. Provide practical guidance on integration patterns and data flows within the Microsoft ecosystem for a non-profit environment. Scope of Work The Consultant’s role will include, but is not limited to, the following tasks and activities Participate in current-state workshops led by KPMG Conduct gap assessments against Business Central Provide ISV and Extension Recommendations Responsible for Power Platform Customizations Provide Integration and Architecture Advice and Guidance Responsible for an array of deliverables which may include the following: Analysis Reports, Solution Architecture Approach, Implementation Roadmap, ISV Short-List, Process Alignment Document, Knowledge Transfer Collaborate with KPMG facilitators, client stakeholders and any existing partners. Mandatory Experience and Qualifications 10 years of senior consulting experience within the Microsoft Dynamics ecosystem. In-depth knowledge of the Microsoft Dynamics platform: integration requirements, solution architecture, AppSource and available ISVs. In-depth knowledge of Business Central, including all major modules and configuration best practices. Deep experience with implementing or optimizing Business Central, including fund accounting and grant/program management. Demonstrated ability to assess business processes against capabilities and propose pragmatic solutions using native features, ISVs, or Power Platform. Experience integrating Business Central with donor management or CRM systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Insights - Journeys or other CRM platforms). Strong documentation and communication skills for executive and operational stakeholders.
