The Role As a Lead Hand , you’ll support the Site Supervisor in running day-to-day operations, coordinating the Rolling Tides labor team, and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient site. You’ll lead by example — reinforcing safety, organization, and professionalism while ensuring work stays aligned with project schedules and budgets. How Success Will Be Measured: 5 Key Deliverables 1. Site Readiness & Organization Keep the job site clean, stocked, and inspection-ready. Maintain trailer inventory (fasteners, consumables, safety gear), complete weekly Site Cleanliness Forms in SALUS, and uphold site presentation and safety standards. 2. Safety Compliance & Inspections Lead by example in enforcing Rolling Tides’ safety program. Complete FLHA forms daily , Site Inspections weekly , Scaffold inspections , and proactively report incidents and near misses in SALUS. 3. Labor Force Leadership, Coordination & Efficiency Direct and support the labor team to meet project schedules and budget goals. Assign daily tasks, track productivity and labor hours, and assist with sequencing and trade coordination. Communicate potential schedule or cost risks early and propose solutions. 4. Reporting & Communication Keep communication consistent and documentation up to date. Maintain GSR reports biweekly , record daily progress, and flag issues to the Site Supervisor. Support accurate field reporting in Procore and Google Drive. 5. Upholding Company Values & Standards Act as a field-level ambassador of Rolling Tides’ culture. Demonstrate accountability, respect, and reliability. Model the company’s six core values in every interaction and decision. What You’ll Do Lead the Rolling Tides labor crew and coordinate daily site tasks. Maintain trailer inventory and ensure site tools, gear, and materials are ready for work. Uphold safety practices aligned with WorkSafeBC and company policy. Support the Site Supervisor with scheduling, progress tracking, and reporting. Assist in trade coordination and ensure site cleanliness and organization are maintained. What You Bring Red Seal Carpenter certification (preferred) 1 years of experience in a leadership role (Lead Hand, Foreperson, or similar) Strong understanding of construction sequencing, jobsite safety, and tool/equipment handling Excellent communication and teamwork skills Ability to lead by example and motivate others under tight timelines Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license Nice to have: experience in multifamily or commercial construction Perks & Compensation Competitive hourly wage plus performance-based reviews Company phone allowance ($80/month) Benefits after 3-month probation period Paid sick leave (up to 40 hours per year) Branded Rolling Tides gear and training opportunities A strong safety culture that rewards accountability and professionalism How to Apply Send your resume and a brief note about your leadership experience — including one project where you helped deliver quality results under tight timelines.
