Business Intelligence Developer

Job Title: Oracle APEX & BI Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Are you a skilled Oracle APEX Developer with a passion for turning complex data into actionable business insights? Do you thrive in environments where clean data, smart automation, and user-centric reporting drive real-world impact? We’re looking for a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to support a high-impact public sector initiative in Ontario. In this role, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable web-based business intelligence applications , develop robust ETL pipelines , and empower stakeholders with intuitive, data-driven tools that align operational actions with strategic goals. What You’ll Do: Design, develop, and deploy custom Oracle APEX applications with advanced features (interactive reports, charts, dynamic actions) Build and optimize ETL/ELT processes using PL/SQL for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, and loading Model and manage data across relational and multidimensional stores (Oracle, SQL Server) Implement automated reporting, scheduling, alerts , and drill-down analytics Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and IT teams across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Ensure data quality, system reliability, and compliance with accessibility standards ( AODA ) ✅ Must-Have Qualifications: 5 years of hands-on experience developing applications in Oracle APEX Proven expertise in Oracle Database, SQL, PL/SQL , and data modeling Strong background in ETL development , data cleansing, and automation Experience working in Agile or structured SDLC environments Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder collaboration skills Nice-to-Haves: Experience with Git, JIRA, or Azure DevOps Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) Familiarity with public sector projects or environmental data systems Understanding of AODA compliance and enterprise architecture standards
