We are Systematix and we are currently looking for a Snowflake Data Engineer to join our team on a contract basis. ABOUT THE PROJECT Our client is a global leader in science and technology, providing a breadth of expertise and solutions to customers worldwide. In this role, you will bring your expertise in Snowflake and cloud-based data platforms to join our team. You will come with a proven track record in designing, building and optimizing data solutions that enable analytics and insight generation across the organization. ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Contribute to the migration of ETL processes from Snowflake to Palantir, including analysis of existing pipelines, design of new solutions, and comprehensive documentation Build and maintain a Snowflake data platform, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability Design, implement, and maintain integration and analytics solutions to support key business processes and decision-making. Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and data scientists to deliver end-to-end data solutions aligned with business objectives. Ensure data quality, consistency, and security throughout the full data lifecycle. ABOUT THE REQUIRED SKILLS 6 years of experience in Data Engineering or a related field. Expert-level knowledge of Snowflake, including performance tuning and analytical solution design. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and related cloud-based services. Strong SQL and Python skills, including query optimization and automation of ETL/ELT processes. Solid understanding of data modeling techniques (3NF, Data Vault, Kimball, and modern data stack methodologies). Familiarity with modern data architecture concepts such as Data Mesh and Data Fabric. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with technical and business stakeholders. Proven ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Prior experience with dbt, Matillion or Palantir is a strong asset ABOUT THE ROLE This is a 6-month remote contract, with the possibility of occasional travel to DC.
