Senior Android Developer

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Android Developer for a Contract position with a client located in Toronto, ON (Hybrid). Ideally, we are looking for a Prime contact with technical experts, project teams, business and outside vendors, providing leadership, guidance and direction. Work independently and often autonomously as the senior or lead developer and coach/guide team members within area of expertise Position: Senior Android Developer Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid) Job Description : What are the must-have skills for this role? Android front-end development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and is familiar with Android SDK (level 28 and later), MVC, MVP, and MVVM, Android Studio, Gradle, Ant/Maven, Stash, GIT Minimum 5 years' experience in mobile development and minimum 3 years in Java/J2EE application development. Experienced in Android front-end development using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose and is familiar with Android SDK (level 28 and later). Strong knowledge of object-oriented analysis and design, implementation and maintenance Hands-on experienced with development tools such as Android Studio, Gradle, Ant/Maven, Stash, GIT etc Hands-on experience with software design pattern such as MVC, MVP, and MVVM Knowledge of MFC frameworks such as AngularJS, Backbone. Experience with Web services such as REST, JAX-RS, XML-RPC, JSON-RPC, SOAP), JDBC, Experience with build processes, continuous integration and source control systems (GIT or MKS an asset) Excellent oral and written communication skills Experience in leading/mentoring technical team members Web Technologies: HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, HTML-DOM, AJAX an asset Development and platforms: Windows, Unix/Linux, Websphere, Jboss Familiar with software development methodologies Experience working with a distributed team with both onshore and offshore developers.
