Senior Commercial Manager – Defence £70,000 - £85,000 Bonus Hybrid Working - Bristol Are you a commercially astute professional with experience in customer facing defence or IT contracts? We are recruiting for a leading organisation delivering advanced defence solutions with the technology space. The Role: As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in managing high-value defence contracts, from bidding and pre-signature negotiations to post-signature contract management. You will be responsible for ensuring commercial success, risk mitigation, and compliance within a highly regulated and strategic environment. There are two roles available, one mainly pre-signature, one mainly post-signature. Key Responsibilities: ✅ Lead commercial activities across technology led defence contracts. ✅ Oversee the end-to-end bid process, ensuring competitive and compliant proposals. ✅ Negotiate, draft, and manage contracts with key clients, suppliers, and government entities. ✅ Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and security frameworks. ✅ Identify and mitigate contractual risks. ✅ Provide commercial guidance to internal teams and senior stakeholders. ✅ Collaborate with procurement, finance, and legal teams to drive business objectives. About You: ✔ Proven experience in a senior commercial/contracts management role. ✔ Strong understanding of defence contracts, including MOD and international agreements. ✔ Experience managing bids, pre-signature negotiations, and post-contract delivery. ✔ Excellent negotiation, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills. ✔ Ability to work in a high-security, fast-paced environment. ✔ Eligible for UK Security Clearance (SC level).
