Job Title: Senior Civil Engineer – Customer Acquisition & Offtake Development Location: Nottingham, UK Salary: Competitive (based on experience) Start Date: Immediate (flexible depending on notice period) Type: Full-time, Permanent About Us Concrete4Change (C4C) is a pioneering company developing breakthrough technology to capture and permanently mineralise CO₂ in concrete. Our patented additive reduces emissions while improving strength and durability, offering a scalable solution for one of the world’s most polluting industries. Having recently scaled up our production process 100×, we’re constructing a pilot plant in Nottingham that will run on real flue gas. Data from this system will directly inform the design of a commercial demonstrator 100× larger. C4C is backed by major industrial players (SCG, Goldbeck), partners with leading universities, and works with top European concrete manufacturers. This is a pivotal moment to join C4C as we scale from lab to industry. Role Overview We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer who combines technical concrete expertise with strong commercial acumen to drive customer acquisition, technical validation, and offtake conversion. You will engage directly with ready-mix producers, precast manufacturers, and cement companies — supporting trials, interpreting performance data, and helping translate technical success into long-term commercial relationships. This is a strategic role at the intersection of engineering, sales, and sustainability, ideal for someone eager to make a measurable industrial impact. Key Responsibilities • Identify and engage potential customers and industrial partners in the concrete and construction ecosystem • Lead technical trials and demonstrations that validate C4C’s technology for client specifications • Convert successful trials into sales pipeline opportunities and offtake agreements • Support the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) in developing commercial proposals and partnerships • Translate customer feedback into technical improvements and communicate requirements to R&D teams • Contribute to EPD, BS, and LCA documentation to support customer certification and adoption • Maintain CRM and project tracking for customer interactions and commercial milestones • Represent C4C in client meetings, conferences, and technical forums Candidate Profile • B.Sc. in Civil Engineering, Materials Science, or Construction • Minimum 5 years’ experience in concrete technology, precast, or ready-mix operations • Strong customer-facing communication skills and ability to translate technical results into business value • Demonstrated experience in mix design, testing, certification, and performance validation • Understanding of EPD, BS standards, and sustainability frameworks • Commercial mindset with the ability to build relationships and close offtake deals • Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, innovation-driven environment What We Offer At C4C, you’ll work at the forefront of carbon-negative construction technology, where every project directly reduces emissions and transforms industry practices.
