Senior Project Manager – Design & Build We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of commercial design and build projects from concept through to completion. This role offers the chance to take real ownership, work closely with clients, and help deliver inspiring spaces to the highest standard. About the Role You’ll manage multiple fit out and design and build projects, ensuring they’re completed on time, within budget, and to specification. Working closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams, you’ll coordinate design, construction, and commercial activity to achieve successful outcomes. Main Responsibilities: Manage projects through all stages, from initial brief and design to construction and handover. Oversee programme, budget, quality, and compliance with CDM and health & safety regulations. Lead and motivate multidisciplinary project teams, supporting collaboration and accountability. Act as the main client contact, managing communication, expectations, and project updates. Oversee procurement, subcontractor management, and variation control in line with commercial objectives. Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and ensure projects meet profitability targets. Champion quality, sustainability, and best practice in all aspects of delivery. Skills & Experience Essential Proven experience managing design and build or commercial fit out projects (£1m–£10m). Strong knowledge of design coordination, construction processes, and technical integration. Excellent leadership, communication, and client relationship skills. Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and contracts. Proficient in project management tools and Microsoft Office. Desirable Degree in Project or Construction Management. Professional membership. Familiarity with sustainability standards. Personal Qualities Confident, organised, and a natural leader. Detail-focused with a proactive, solution-led mindset. Commercially astute with a strong commitment to quality and delivery. Passionate about design, innovation, and creating great environments. Calm, adaptable, and effective under pressure.
