️ Senior Structural Engineer – Newcastle upon Tyne Newcastle (Hybrid – typically 2/3 days office) £48,000 – £60,000 Benefits Chartership Support Confidential consultancy | Public & Private Sector Projects (UK-wide) About the Role I’m recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to join a collaborative team delivering varied projects across the industrial, residential, retail, commercial, and healthcare sectors. You’ll lead packages of work, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and produce high-quality technical outputs to UK codes and standards. Key Responsibilities Lead structural analysis and detailed design across steel, concrete, timber, and masonry. Coordinate with architects, MEP, and contractors to produce fully integrated, buildable solutions . Undertake inspections, surveys, and assessments of new and existing structures; compile clear technical reports. Use industry software (e.g. Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds ) to deliver robust, efficient designs. Manage workload across multiple concurrent projects , ensuring quality and consistency of drawings and reports. Represent the team in client and design meetings , supporting bids and proposals where needed. Champion standards, safety, and quality (Eurocodes/UK Building Regulations). About You BEng/MEng in Civil or Structural Engineering . Chartered or near-Chartered (IStructE/ICE). Strong consultancy experience across common construction forms and building types . Excellent communicator with proven report writing and stakeholder management skills. Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable prioritising across competing deadlines.
